Panther chameleons are fascinating animals. Their body is covered in scales and they can be between 16-24 inches. Most Panther chameleons weigh between 60 and 185 grams. These creatures are mainly found in the tropical broadleaf evergreens inside trees and bushes. Their diet consists of insects, frogs, some plant leaves, lizards, and small mammals and are considered omnivores. They catch their prey by launching out their long tongue and grabbing the victim. Panther chameleons are slow and territorial animals. They can live up to 10 years in captivity so they are common pets. Currently this species has common status. This species is well adapted to its enviroment.
